Where does the data come from?
From official public sources — NCZI, ŠÚKL and the Slovak Ministry of Health. We clean, link and aggregate the data into clear dashboards; we work with no non-public or personal data.
Why pay for public data?
Public data is available, but it is not ready for decision-making. Datalytica regularly downloads, cleans and links it via codes (ATC, ŠÚKL, ICD-10), unifies company names, computes shares, trends and segment differences — and shows it in one dashboard, with source and period on every figure. You save dozens of hours of manual work in Excel.
How up to date is the data?
Frequency depends on the source — for every dataset the pricing states which period it covers. NCZI drug consumption, for example, is quarterly. We never show running same-day figures; always closed, verified periods.
What does “€” mean in the platform — is it the company's revenue or sales?
No. “€” is the health-insurer reimbursement for covered (categorised) items — the flow of public money, not a company's revenue, turnover or selling price. It shows the market's value from the reimbursement side, not any single company's accounting.
How do you calculate a company's market share?
By the marketing-authorisation holder (MAH) — who places the product on the market — not the physical manufacturer. We keep the manufacturer as a supplementary audit attribute per product, so a “by holder” share can differ from a “by manufacturer” view. For devices and foods we use the supplier.
Why do your numbers differ from our internal sales data?
We work with consumption/dispensing from public sources (NCZI) — what actually passed through the reimbursement system — not your sell-in/sell-out. “€” also covers only categorised (reimbursed) items. It's a single, consistent whole-market view using the same methodology for every player — complementary to your internal data, not a replacement.
Do you cover only drugs, or also medical devices and dietary foods?
All three markets — drugs, medical devices and dietary foods — including shares, trends, competition and brands. You switch datasets directly in the app.
Can I track a specific brand, not just a company?
Yes. Besides the company (holder/supplier) you can analyse a specific brand — including a side-by-side comparison of two brands over time, in packages and in euro reimbursement.
Do we need to install anything or involve IT to get started?
No. Datalytica is a web application — all you need is a browser, and it works on mobile too. No installation, no integration into your systems, no maintenance on your side.
Where is the data hosted and who has access?
On servers in the EU (provider Hetzner, Germany), with e-mail via Websupport (SK) — both acting as GDPR processors. We work exclusively with public aggregated data; we store no patient or sensitive personal data. Access to your account is protected by sign-in.
Is the platform GDPR-compliant?
Yes. We work exclusively with aggregated, anonymised public market data — no individual patient or sensitive personal data.
How many users can our account have?
Users are included in the package — you don't pay per colleague (no per-seat fee). Starter includes 2 seats, Pro 5, and Intelligence is unlimited; for larger teams we can raise the limit individually.
Can I export the data?
Yes — in the Pro and Intelligence plans you can download the current view as CSV. Bulk export is part of Enterprise; programmatic API access is on the roadmap (on request).
How does billing work?
You choose what suits you: annual access (best value — you pay once for 12 months) or quarterly access with no commitment at a higher rate. In both cases you get access to all the data in your plan — historical and continuously updated. We invoice the company billing details you enter at registration. Prices exclude VAT.
Can I see historical data?
Yes. Drug consumption, medical devices and dietary foods run from 2020 (quarterly) up to the current quarter 2026-Q1 (preliminary); reimbursement € for devices and foods from 2024. Disease registers 2013–2024, oncology 2016–2024. The exact range and latest available period of every dataset is in the “Data recency & range” table in
the pricing page. The range of unlocked periods depends on your plan.
